The original project used Mary Maxim Mohair, a bulky weight, which offered 50 yds per 1 oz skein. But now, with a wide variety of bulky yarns to choose from, you can customize this project to suit you. Keep in mind that yardage may differ. All you need are U.S. sizes 6 (4 mm) and 10.5 (6.5 mm) needles to begin!
